Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a cultural institution, where you will manage visitor access, monitor entry points and alarm panels, assist with badge administration, and provide welcoming customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally with staff and guests, and help maintain a secure, respectful environment. Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.Alarm Panel Experience (B202)
Candidates must possess experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting procedures.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes familiarity with software applications, email communication, and data entry.Customer Service Experience (B219)
Candidates must have a background in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.

What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Assist with visitor screening, direct guests to appropriate areas, and communicate site access requirements in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated public areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
