Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and assist with controlling entry and movement of visitors, staff, and contractors in accordance with location requirements.
- Support public-facing operations by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and community members, and assist law enforcement and/or first responders during incidents when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
