Security Guard - Unarmed Access Services Full Time

As a Security Officer Access Services in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check badges, and/or confirm visitor authorization to help support authorized access throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, restricted zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow at entrances, support delivery and visitor check-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive access control practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Required Qualifications: 2 years of Physical Security Experience and Ability to speak,read, and write the English language fluently. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Advanced Computer skills and proficiency; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
• Proficiently skilled in the use of technology such as a desktop computer and mobile applications to document activities and tasks 
• Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency 
• Ability to quickly and efficiently analyse high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take
