What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, server and equipment areas, parking lots, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points, badges, and visitor logs, assisting with deliveries and service calls by directing drivers and/or contractors to approved routes and check-in areas.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate clearly during shift handoff, and follow Allied Universal reporting protocols and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
