As a Security Officer - Visitor Escort Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will support a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, in a caring culture that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns; working conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor entry by checking identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes when directed, and assisting with delivery and vendor check-in procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, fire or water conditions, medical calls, and/or disturbances, and notify the appropriate contacts as required.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, and use site systems such as cameras, radios, and access control tools for security-related operations as authorized.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A Guard Card and/or applicable license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
