Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, use computer or tablet tools to report activity, and provide customer-focused support to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by following site-specific policies, completing required documentation, and supporting security-related procedures at a financial services location.
• Carry and maintain an authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal guidelines, and post orders, using professional judgment and escalation protocols.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies, offices, cash handling areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, observe for unusual conditions, and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns through the approved chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Have 5+ years of security experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
