What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology facility.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization, and assist with visitor management processes including sign-in, badges, and directing guests to approved locations.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and policy violations; take appropriate action within post orders and request assistance when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical situations, and service interruptions.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, fencing, lighting, and other physical controls; document deficiencies and notify site contacts according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, using clear and accurate documentation for security-related events, patrol findings, and customer service interactions.
  • Support technology and infrastructure operations by maintaining post coverage, coordinating with on-site teams during planned maintenance windows, and assisting with traffic control for service vendors as directed.
  • Operate site communications and reporting tools as assigned, such as radios, phones, and/or electronic tour systems, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive site information.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific conduct standards, including uniform requirements, professional communication, and timely escalation of concerns through the chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
