As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy front desk location.
- Monitor access to the location by checking in visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining front desk logs in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
- Support day-to-day front desk operations by answering phones, directing guests, observing lobby activity, and documenting unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
