As a Security Officer - Armed Entry Gate in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a premier private club location, where you will greet members and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and document activity while providing outstanding customer service. You will remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is an armed and driving post, requiring an armed guard card and a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to members, guests, residents, vendors and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Operate an access control post by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary passes, and maintaining accurate access logs.
• Monitor entry points and surrounding areas using security-related systems such as cameras, intercoms and/or access control software, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events in written reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, parking areas and perimeter access points as directed by post orders; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
