Security Officer Armed Gate Access

As a Security Officer Armed Gate Access in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Officer in an access control location where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, members, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to control access for vehicles, deliveries, and pedestrian traffic.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation while communicating relevant activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
