As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Security Portal in Nazareth, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Valid Driver's License:
- All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- While not mandatory, the following qualifications are considered beneficial for candidates applying for positions within the company:
- Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Familiarity with access control systems and badge management is advantageous.
- Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Experience with alarm panel systems is preferred for roles involving security management.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential for various tasks and communication.
- Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service roles is highly valued, as it enhances our commitment to client satisfaction.
- Loss Prevention (B210): Knowledge or experience in loss prevention strategies is beneficial for positions related to security and asset management.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents by observing inbound and outbound personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and shipments in a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
