Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and/or authorized personnel entering the location by following established security-related policies, identification checks, and prohibited item screening procedures.
• Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through the proper chain of command when needed.
• Monitor entry points and controlled areas to help to deter unauthorized access, maintain orderly flow through screening areas, and support daily location operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
