As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will manage access control points, greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly entry and exit. You will monitor alarms and cameras, document activity, and communicate clearly with clinical teams and leadership to support security-related response needs. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entrances by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor passes, and directing authorized persons to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and alarm panels as assigned, and report irregular activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
