As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge and visitor processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, substations, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and site policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures; maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged fencing, lighting issues, and other conditions that may affect site operations to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
