- Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, screening visitors, checking identification, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing access badges when appropriate, and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and documenting events in a clear, timely way.
- Monitor assigned access points, gates, doors, and/or screening stations to help to deter unauthorized entry, enforce site policies, and communicate directions to staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned exterior and interior areas when required, observing for security-related concerns, malfunctioning equipment, and policy violations, then reporting findings through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
