What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures for access control at a government location, including greeting visitors, verifying identification, and directing authorized individuals according to post instructions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and delivery activity in required logs and/or electronic systems.
- Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and/or public officials as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, paying attention to restricted spaces, doors, gates, and other access control points.
- Support daily operations by following key control, credential handling, and property check procedures, and reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues according to site protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
