Security Officer Badge Desk Driver

As a Security Officer Badge Desk Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location where you will help manage access control operations, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support security-related procedures for staff, visitors, and vendors. - Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related policies for a government location.
- Monitor doors, gates, credentials, visitor logs, and restricted areas to help control authorized access and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, housing areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, document observations, and support site rules and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS and/or DHS COLA requirements.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
