- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities, observations, and/or unusual events in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control concerns, unsecured entry points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
- Communicate with site personnel and/or supervisors regarding access requests, disruptions, and security-related matters while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
