Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or emergency responders, and provide helpful customer service to employees and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to location staff, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, yard, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor access points and traffic flow, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation as required by post orders, and help to maintain orderly entry and exit to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to location management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports, document unusual activity, and report maintenance hazards or operational concerns observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
