As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service calls, document activity, and support store teams and guests with clear, respectful communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification, backed by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, loading areas, and parking lots to help to deter suspicious activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with local law enforcement and/or management, and direction of foot traffic as needed.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, applicable licensing, and use of force guidelines, including weapon retention practices and secure handling.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
