As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hotel or resort location.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property staff and/or first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, parking areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe guest and visitor activity, and document incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Support a welcoming atmosphere by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and helping to address security-related issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
