Security Officer - Unarmed Bike Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Bike Patrol in Eden Prairie, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, completing routine rounds and maintaining a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with directions and concerns, communicate clearly with your team, and document observations while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and tenant/visitor concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor activity for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and potential hazards that could help to deter unwanted activity, and take appropriate action consistent with post orders.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
