Security Officer Access Control

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, access control practices, and site-specific front desk policies.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify visitor credentials, issue access badges or visitor passes, and maintain accurate arrival and departure records.
- Answer phones, greet guests, assist with directions, and communicate with building management and/or emergency contacts regarding routine concerns or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support daily operations at the front desk by observing entry points, helping to deter unauthorized access, and following post orders for the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
