Security Officer - Full Time Medical Facility Patrol

As a Security Officer - Full Time Medical Facility Patrol in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Our Healthcare Security Officer helps maintain a welcoming hospital environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and responsive support for staff, patients, and visitors. In this unarmed role, you will handle security-related concerns with professionalism, strong communication, and teamwork while embodying Allied Universal’s caring culture, reliability, and integrity in a dynamic setting.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through proper site communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and help to address security-related concerns involving patients, staff, and guests.
- Support hospital operations by documenting daily activities, assisting during medical or facility-related emergencies, and following post orders and/or client guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
