As a Security Officer Armed Patrol FT in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative workplace.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
- Support public order and de-escalation efforts during high-stress situations, document observations and incidents, and coordinate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
