Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Intake in Florence, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols for the location.
- Monitor entrances, gates, docks, and/or badge checkpoints, verify credentials and authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, warehouse areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by observing vehicle movement, checking seals, manifests, and/or access documentation as directed, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
