As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Rounds in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced construction location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to help keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of active work areas, offices, laydown yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or delivery areas, verify access authorization, and direct visitors and contractors according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public services as required.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual conditions using required logs and reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
