As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, control access as needed, and maintain a high-visibility presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reports, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Guided by integrity, teamwork, and innovation, you will deliver dependable service in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, authorizations, and vehicle documentation; assist with visitor processing and contractor check-in.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other security-related systems; investigate activations and report findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate response with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct security-related screening and prohibited item checks as directed by site procedures; enforce posted rules in a professional manner.
  • Provide escort services for visitors, vendors, and/or employees in controlled areas when required by site policy.
  • Write clear, detailed reports of daily activity, patrol observations, access control actions, and incident response; maintain accurate logs and pass-downs.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities such as drills, evacuation support, and accountability procedures as directed.
  • Maintain assigned equipment, including duty gear and issued communications devices; report maintenance needs and/or concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Support protection of sensitive operations by maintaining professional presence, observing for suspicious behavior, and reporting anomalies through the chain of command.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership and site management to follow post orders, shift briefings, and any updates to security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • - Have a minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • - Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • - Be at least 21 years of age.
  • - Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
