Security Officer Access Governance Specialist Job in Fremont, California

As a Security Officer Access Governance Specialist in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage visitor entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help support a secure environment for employees and guests. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry to authorized areas in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, common areas, restricted spaces, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, access irregularities, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
