Allied Universal® is hiring Guest Services Gate Officers for a new theme park resort in Frisco, TX. This highly visible role is focused on creating a welcoming, friendly, and positive first impression while supporting a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, employees, and visitors.

Gate Officers assist with entrance screening operations, including guest bag checks and use of X‑ray and magnetometer (metal detection) equipment, while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced, high‑energy theme park environment. This position balances guest engagement with safety and operational support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and service‑oriented manner
• Assist guests through bag check and screening processes, clearly explaining procedures and expectations
• Operate and monitor X‑ray screening equipment and walk‑through or handheld magnetometers following training guidelines
• Support smooth guest flow by managing entry lines and maintaining an efficient screening experience
• Monitor entry areas for guest needs, safety concerns, or operational issues
• Identify restricted items and address situations with professionalism, discretion, and courtesy
• Provide directions, information, and assistance to guests throughout the entry process
• Communicate calmly and respectfully when addressing guest questions or concerns
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure orderly access to the resort
• Observe activity to help protect guests, employees, and resort property
• Document incidents, guest interactions, or unusual activity as required by post orders
• Assist guests, employees, and visitors in a courteous, patient, and guest‑focused manner
• Make notifications to supervisors or emergency services when necessary, following site procedures

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five (5) years of work experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• No prior security experience required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Ability to interact cordially and professionally with the public in a high traffic environment
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction and safety
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
• Problem solving and sound judgment
• Active listening and situational awareness
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to de‑escalate situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Guest services, hospitality, or theme park experience
• Prior experience working in high‑volume public or event environments
• Ability to de‑escalate guest concerns in a calm, professional manner
• Experience providing directions, crowd assistance, or guest support
• Experience with access control or screening equipment
• Knowledge of emergency response or customer service best practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a high volume public setting with continuous guest interaction
• Ability to perform duties in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive, service‑focused demeanor
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
• Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with screening, bag checks, and entry procedures
• Ability to remain alert, focused, and responsive for the duration of assigned shifts
