As a Security Guard - Gatehouse Checkpoint Monitor in Garland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, manage entry and badging, and monitor activity across assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper destinations.
• Monitor access control systems, alarm panels, and camera views as assigned, document unusual activity, and report maintenance or system issues through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting medical responses, disturbances, and fire or building system alerts per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
