Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Job in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, supporting a professional location through routine patrols, visible presence, and prompt response to security-related concerns. You will help to deter incidents, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and deliver attentive customer service. This role calls for Act 235 qualification and offers the opportunity to work with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $23.35 / Hour
All candidates for positions that require Act 235 qualifications must meet the following criteria:
Act 235 Qualification:Candidates must possess a valid Act 235 certification, which includes successful completion of a training program approved by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). This certification is mandatory for individuals seeking employment in security-related roles.
Background Check:Candidates must undergo a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Documentation:Candidates must provide the following documentation as part of the pre-employment process:
- A copy of the Act 235 certification.
- Proof of completion of any required training programs.
- Any additional documents as specified in the job description.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
