Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Airport Security Experience
- 21+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other airport stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and surrounding activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public service agencies as directed.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic government transportation location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
