Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Digital Reporting Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Digital Reporting in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, communicate observations, and support site operations through attentive customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and report unusual conditions, potential hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
- Control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
