Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and communicate professionally while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating matters as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and complete required reports in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
