Security Officer - First Shift

As a Security Officer Secure Entry Monitor in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional financial institution location where you will help monitor access points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor management while remaining visible throughout assigned areas. This role combines customer service, communication, and security-related presence to help discourage incidents and support daily operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and entry authorization protocols at the location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual or suspicious activity according to site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, access points, and perimeter, with attention to security-related concerns and facility rules.
- Complete required logs, reports, and communication records related to access control activity, incidents, and daily operations, while following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
