As a Security Officer Building Access Control - Foot Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and common areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
- Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and maintaining visible presence throughout assigned areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to use a computer or tablet comfortably is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
