As a Security Officer Building Campus Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity and site operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all persons on site by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations, actions taken, and unusual activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and/or operational concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and reporting access-related issues in accordance with site protocols.
- Support site operations by communicating with supervisors, employees, contractors, and/or visitors regarding security-related concerns, directions, and post instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
