As a Security Officer Building Campus Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, routine patrols, and teamwork, while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity every day.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, facility issues, and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment zones, and loading or shipping locations.
- Support site policies related to deliveries, contractors, and personnel movement, while reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
