As a Security Officer Driver Check Screener in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access, conduct screening activities, and support orderly site operations. This is a driving post, with opportunities to remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors entering and exiting the location, which may include verifying identification, checking credentials, and observing for unauthorized items or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and unusual conditions.
- Document screening activity, incidents, and policy-related issues in required logs and/or reports, and follow site procedures for escalating concerns as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
