Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This role blends customer service, communication, and professionalism while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying unusual conditions or security-related risks.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and support visitor and staff screening practices in accordance with site policies and post orders.
- Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related events as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, and/or the military.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
