In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to riders and staff. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, bus staging areas, administrative spaces, and/or surrounding perimeters, with attention to unusual activity and access control concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor and contractor processing, and communicate site protocols to employees and members of the public.
- Support crowd management, vehicle and pedestrian flow, and/or public interaction during routine operations, service disruptions, and other high-traffic periods at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
