Security Officer Security Screening

As a Security Officer Security Screening in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will help monitor entry activity, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping to identify security-related concerns. - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or security-related policies for a fast-paced technology location.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location, following post orders and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and/or credential checks to help support authorized access and identify items or activity that may require additional review.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that could impact daily operations or require follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
