As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and support badge processes. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $23.86 / Hour
As part of our hiring process, we would like to remind you that an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. Verification of this clearance will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening process. Valid Driver's License (C123): Candidates must hold a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements to facilitate transportation and mobility as required by the position.
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management to ensure secure access to facilities.
Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel systems is required to maintain safety and security measures within the organization.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets, as these tools are essential for daily operations and communication.
CPR Certification (B205): A valid CPR certification is required to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and clients in emergency situations.
Customer Service Experience (B219): Candidates should possess relevant customer service experience to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site policies; document visitor activity, incidents, and irregular conditions through required reports and logs.
- Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, policy concerns, and response activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
