What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor management processes in accordance with post orders and government site policies.
- Communicate with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy violations, and changing conditions that may require additional security-related attention.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 3 or more years of experience as military police, a corrections officer, armed security, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
- Possess supervisory experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
