What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy violations, and support daily operations by following Allied Universal standards and post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
