As a Security Officer - Unarmed Capitol Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-profile government location, you will complete routine foot patrols in public and back-of-house areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document activity, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and respond to alarms and service requests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, offices, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe for suspicious behavior, and report security-related hazards, suspicious items, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and visitor interactions, and communicate key information to supervisors and the oncoming shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Being Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
