As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist with customer questions, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. You will represent a company that is agile, reliable, and innovative, delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, disturbances, and/or potential hazards, and communicate observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal management as required by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and provide clear written and verbal updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
