Security Officer - Access Screening Full Time

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. This role combines customer service, communication, and security-related responsibilities while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining detailed activity and incident logs.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support lobby, reception, and delivery coordination functions by assisting with visitor processing, directing arrivals, and communicating access-related information with staff and/or management.
Minimum Requirements:
- This is a primarily driving post.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
