As a Security Officer Armed Municipal Patrol Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location where you will conduct visible armed patrols, monitor assigned areas, and complete security-related checks to help reduce incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond to concerns, and document activity with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, supporting a reliable, agile, and team-focused culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Carry an authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and all applicable laws, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual conditions, unsecured access points, and/or prohibited items; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbance calls, alarms, and/or medical emergencies, and coordinate response with on-site personnel and public agencies as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and/or evidence documentation, and communicate observations and security-related concerns to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
